We announced today that we joined Grow Minnesota!, a private sector economic development program led by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. The primary focus of this program is to retain Minnesota businesses and to encourage them to expand in the state. For more information, read our press release. Chamber Announces 2012 Board of Directors

We announced our 2012 board of directors today. The board is the governing body and sets all policies of the Chamber. In taking on these responsibilities, directors are asked to think beyond their experience and plan beyond their tenure.

The Chamber’s 2012 officers are Ryan Walseth with Bergan Travel, Chair; Lisa Robson with the Evergreen Eating Emporium, Chair Elect; and Jon Bushy with Northern State Bank, Past Chair. Thief River Falls Air Travel Survey

The Chamber has partnered with the Thief River Falls Regional Airport and the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Office of Aeronautics to survey local business and resident feedback on air travel and airport usage. Results of the survey will be compiled as part of a community profile and presented to regional air carriers to potentially increase air service options and quality for Thief River Falls area travelers.
